Why We Say No to Outside Corporate Funding

Eventually, those investors demand massive financial returns—which forces the app to harvest user data, track behavior, or use cheap tricks to keep you addicted to your screen.
UTurn is deliberately set up to avoid this trap:
- 100% Self-Funded: All of our development and physical equipment costs are paid for directly by our founders. We answer only to our community of users, not to corporate shareholders.
- Running Lean and Smart: Rather than renting expensive, bloated cloud setups that burn through cash, we own our own physical servers. We design our software to run incredibly light, keeping our daily running costs low.

We are in this for the long haul. To ensure UTurn remains fully reliable as our network grows, we will never cross the line into tracking you or showing advertisements. Instead, our long-term plan relies on a completely transparent, community-supported model.
As the platform grows, we will introduce select optional premium features for advanced capabilities (like extra storage or custom power-user tools).
Our main strategy is simple: keep the code fast and efficient. By writing clean software, we get maximum performance out of our physical equipment, keeping our overhead exceptionally low. We pass those savings directly to you—ensuring that any future optional upgrades remain highly affordable, low-cost, and genuinely useful.
